  1. Hi,Matt! I'm Masumi Horie. I would like to answer the question No.1.
In both of European and American eating styles, you eat with a knife in your right hand and with a fork in your left hand. But they are different after using a knife. In European style, you eat by a fork with a knife in your right hand. But in American style, you eat, putting a knife at the upper edge of the plate and transfering a fork to your right hand.

    See you next class!

  2. Good evening, Matt!
I am Saki.I would like to answer the question no.3.
In China, the person who takes the dish first is quite important and sometimes high-rank.
Also, we mustn't take the last piece of food and look anxcious or hungry.
Just make natural part of conversation!

I listend to and watched this video again and again...a littele difficult!

    See you ^^

  3. Hi,Matt!
I'm Tasuya Takarabe. I would like to answer No,1.

In American eating style, when people take a break they stay their hands below the table. But in European they stay their hands up the table.
Of course,in both style they don't put hands on the table.

    See you next class!

  4. Hi, Matt!
I'm Yohei. I'd like to answer the question No. 2.

That video was very interesting as a comedy for me. The actors in that video are comedians. If viewers are familiar with the Japanese culture, they can enjoy watching it. However, it's serious that there are people who think it's correct. They might misunderstand the Japanese culture and even Japanese people.

    See you next class!

This video is very interesting. But now the most popular sushi style in Japan is revolving sushi. I think the advice in this video is almost useless.

  10. Hi, Matt! I'm Haruka Tsuchida.
I'd like to answer the question No.1.

According to European style, you eat dishes with a fork in your left hand and a knife in the other hand.
In American style, people cut the foods with a knife useing right hand, and put it on the upper edge of the dish. Then they have a fork in their right hand and start eating.

    See you soon!
